Torrance Little League has a thriving in-house umpire program to allow former players and members of our community to develop the skill of umpire and earn some cash.  We are looking for interested participants who are looking to umpire games at our Training division level, and possibly our Minor and Major divisions depending on experience.   We will be holding a required umpire training on a weekend prior to the start of the season (date and time TBD) to meet the league umpire coordinators and learn the rules, fundamentals, and procedures to umpire games for Torrance Little League.

Requirements:

- Age: Minimum Age 13 years of age and up.  This is not just for kids.
- Training Provided: All potential umpires are required to attend a TLL training as put on by TLL Chief Umpire
- Knowledge of the game as well as division rules
     - Must read and understand all rules for the division as well as the LL rule book
- Equipment:
     - Proper clothing includes a pair of black pants, umpire shirt, and hat.
     - Proper safety cup must be worn for every game.
     - Umpire gear will be offered by the league if needed
- Background check for all adults as per California requirements

This is a paid position through Torrance Little League.  All umpires will be paid weekly.  To sign up for to become TLL Junior Umpire, please complete the TLL Junior Umpire Form below.  And then show up to our Junior Umpire Training at the TLL Fields.  Training is mandatory to work as an umpire for TLL.
